GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Mitchell Phelps was one of three event-winners for the Knights, taking first in the 200 back, as Geneseo fell, 161-133, to NCAA Division I Canisius on Saturday at Alumni Pool.
Phelps placed first in the 200 back with a time of 2:01.29 and added a second place finish in the 100 fly (55.24). Sophomore Sean McClellan added a first-place finish in the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:23.69. Sophomore Corey Wirth swept the diving events, placing first off the one-meter board with a 277.45 and the three-meter board, scoring 282.05.
Geneseo moves to 1-1 in dual meets this season and will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 9 when they host Grove City at 1:00 p.m.
