Austin Named National Men's Diving Coach of the Year

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo diving coach Shawn Austin was named the Division III Men's Diving Coach of the Year by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), announced Saturday night.

Austin was recognized at the NCAA Division III Championships after leading Knights' sophomore Samuel Randall to a national championship on 3-meter (533.75) as well as an All-America third-place showing on 1-meter (519.75). 

Randall's performances led Geneseo to a 21st-place showing out of 52 scoring teams with 36 points. 

Austin was also named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Diving Coach of the Year as well after Randall set a conference record in winning the 1-meter event (533.70) and finishing second with a school-record on 3-meter (577.30).
