GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year forward Brendan Miller and senior goaltender Devin McDonald each earned State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) weekly awards as Miller was named Rookie of the Week while McDonald nabbed Goalie of the Week honors.
Miller scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in Friday's 3-1 victory over No. 15 Fredonia. His one-timer in front with 1:38 on the second-period clock was the difference as the Knights won for the 13th-consecutive time.
McDonald totaled 27 saves to backstop the Knights' 3-1 victory over No. 15 Fredonia as well as their 13th-consecutive win. He currently leads the nation with a 1.00 goals against average and ranks second with a .951 save percentage and moved into 14th place in NCAA Division III history with his 62nd-career victory.
Geneseo will host Plattsburgh on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
