Men's Ice Hockey Ranked In Both Final National Polls



GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo men's ice hockey team finished in the top-15 of both final Division III national polls, released this week. The Knights finished No. 13 in the rankings, while ending up 15th in the last poll of the season. 

Ranked in the top-10 of both polls for the majority of the season, Geneseo finished the season with a 17-7-3 record, including a 10-5-1 SUNYAC mark to earn the third seed for the conference tournament. It was the fourth time in the last five years the Knights compiled at least 17 victories.

Geneseo, which also finished the season with the third-ranked scoring offense in the country (4.63 goals per game), earned a 7-0 shutout over visiting Brockport in the first round of the SUNYAC Tournament, before falling at eventual conference champion Plattsburgh, 5-2, in the semifinals.
