GENESEO N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior defensemen Pat Condon scored the winning goal as The Knights defeated Potsdam (2-7-2, 1-6-1 SUNYAC), 3-2, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play, Saturday.
The Bears scored the lone goal of the first period with less than five minutes remaining. Geneseo (9-2-1, 5-2 SUNYAC) responded 1:52 into the second period when first-year forward Devin Brink scored. The Knights pulled ahead seven minutes later with first-year forward Conlan Keenan's 13th goal of the season. Potsdam drew level with under a minute left, making the score 2-2 going into the third period.
Condon scored the winning goal 18 minutes into the final period to finish off The Bears. Sophomore goalkeeper Devin McDonald tallied 32 saves on the evening, including 15 saves in the final period.
The Knights return to action Saturday (Jan. 7th) as they face Elmira at 7:00 p.m.
