GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior guard Terrance Nichols and senior guard Zack Panebianco were each honored by the United States Basketball Writers' Association (USBWA) as All-Rochester Area Division II-III selections.
Nichols was selected as a first-teamer after leading the Knights with 15.7 points per game and 62 made three-pointers. He recorded six games of 20 points or more, including a career-high 30 points in a victory over Alfred, 89-73 (Nov. 27). He hit the game-winning three-pointer with just seconds remaining in the Knights' 77-76 win over Brockport (Feb. 9), capping a 25-point performance.
Panebianco was named honorable mention after he averaged 14.6 points per game and 2.3 assists per game. He led the team with an 82.0% free-throw percentage and shot 33.7% from beyond the arc. Panebianco scored a season-high 31 points at Oswego (Nov. 30), one of six games with 20 or more points. He reached 1,000 points for his collegiate career early in the season, scoring 715 points in two seasons with Geneseo.
