GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior guard Quinn Carey and sophomore forward Tommy Eastman were each selected to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference Second Team, announced on Tuesday.
In his first season in a Geneseo uniform, Carey finished ninth in the conference with team-high 15.2 points per game. He made a conference-best 91 three-pointers, the third-highest single-season total in Geneseo history, while carrying a 43.8 percentage from beyond the arc. He scored a career-high 31 points, including a 7-for-12 performance from three, in an 81-67 victory over New Paltz (Feb. 9).
Eastman ranked 11th in the SUNYAC with 14.5 points per game and second in the league with 9.7 rebounds per game. He recorded a conference-best 13 double-doubles, including a career-high 23 points to go with 11 rebounds in an 82-74 win over host Buffalo State (Jan. 30).
The Knights finished the season at 14-12, including an 11-7 mark in conference play. In its seventh-consecutive playoff appearance, Geneseo clinched a home postseason game for the first time since 2014.
