Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior forward Katie Vienneau tallied a game-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds but it was top-seed and Division II Roberts Wesleyan taking the 54-51 victory in the Wendy's College Classic Championship game, Saturday night, hosted by the University of Rochester.
Senior forward Allison McKenna had nine points and 14 rebounds while senior guard Dana Cohan and junior guard Kayleigh Cavanaugh each added seven points in the loss. Vienneau and McKenna were both named to the Wendy's College Classic All-Tournament team.
"We're certainly disappointed that we didn't come out on top tonight," said head coach Scott Hemer. "On the flip side, to not shoot well through three quarters and still be able to claw back in the end shows how much heart and courage our team really has. I hope they realize after this week how good they can be when they work hard."
Play went back and forth to start the game as the score was tied, 7-7, at 6:25 in the first quarter. Following a Cohan jumper from the left elbow to make it 9-7 at 6:10, sophomore guard Brook Fields made a lay-up for the Redhawks to even the score with 5:07 on the clock.

A lay-up by sophomore guard Neceda James at 4:03 in the third quarter capped a 9-0 run that gave Roberts Wesleyan (8-0) its largest lead of the game, 40-23. Vienneau made a three with just seconds on the clock to cut the Redhawks' lead to 13, 46-33, heading into the final quarter of play.

With 1:29 to play, McKenna missed a three-pointer, collected the offensive rebound and took the ball to the basket to draw the foul. At 0:31, Houppert made a lay-up to make it 52-51 but the Redhawks notched two free-throws and Geneseo missed a jumper on its final possession to close the game.
