GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Jeff Doser and sophomore Samantha Reichman were each honored by the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) on Monday afternoon, earning SUNYAC Men's Swimmer of the Week and SUNYAC Women's Diver of the Week honors, respectively.
Doser was named SUNYAC Men's Swimmer of the Week after he earned three event victories to lead the Knights to a split at Grove City College over the weekend, beating Fredonia, 215-78, but falling to the hosts, 159-135. Doser took first in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 21.65, and the 100 freestyle, touching up in 47.22. Doser also swam the anchor leg of the 200 free relay, teaming with senior Derek Secord, and first-years Will Eng and Harry Harkins to take first in 1:26.18.
For the second-consecutive week, Reichman was named SUNYAC Women's Diver of the Week, finishing first in the one-meter and three-meter dives at Grove City on Saturday. The sophomore recorded a score of 279.35 in the one-meter and notched a 281.35 in the three-meter to win both competitions.
The Knights will take on Cortland on Saturday, Nov. 11.
