Women's Cross Country Finishes Second At Cardinal Early Season Invitational

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo first-year Julia Hoyt finished first out of 66 runners to lead the Knights to a second-place finish at the Cardinal Early Season Invitational, hosted by St. John Fisher, Friday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Hoyt covered the 4,000-meter course in a time of 15:21.2, besting the field by nearly 25 seconds.
  • Sophomore Emily Pomainville was the Knights' next finisher, clocking a time of 16:08.3 for a fifth-place effort.
  • Rochester placed five runners in the top-eight for a winning score of 23, followed by Geneseo (35).
