GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team competed at the Nazareth Invitational, hosted by Nazareth.
On Friday night, the Knights (6-4) earned a pair of 3-0 sweeps, defeating Medaille (25-18, 26-24, 25-17) and host Nazareth (27-25, 25-19, 25-18).
On Saturday, the Knights opened with a 3-0 loss to Mount Union (25-19, 25-15, 25-16) but bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Keuka (25-9, 25-21, 25-21).
Junior outside hitter Grace Cergol moved into sixth place on Geneseo's career kills list with 1,061 to date. She also moved into 12th on the career digs list (993) and is only seven shy of becoming the first player in Knights' history to eclipse 1,000 career kills and digs.
Geneseo will return to action on Friday as they open State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play at Potsdam, facing the Bears on Friday (Sept. 21) before taking on Oswego and Oneonta, Saturday (Sept. 22).
