GENESEO, N.Y.
– SUNY Geneseo seniors Elise Ramirez and Erin MacDougall and junior Sean McAneny received Google Cloud Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), announced Tuesday.

Recognized among the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom, the trio advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.

Ramirez closed her Geneseo career with a runner-up finish in the 5,000 (17:07.34) at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships last Saturday for her third All-America citation of the academic year. She also finished seventh in the 5,000 during the NCAA Indoor Championships after placing 25th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Voted the Atlantic Region Women's Cross Country and Outdoor Track & Field Runner of the Year as well as the SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year, Ramirez also swept the SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track & Field and Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. She graduated earlier this month with a 3.70 grade point average majoring in biology.

MacDougall added a leg to the Knights' 4x400 relay that finished an All-American sixth last Saturday with the fastest time (3:47.55) in program history after placing 12th in the 400 hurdles (1:03.04) on Thursday. She capped her Geneseo career a four-time All-American, including a third-place outcome in the 60 hurdles during the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships, while adding legs to Geneseo's 4x400 relays that logged back-to-back All-America finishes during the 2018 (6th place) and 2019 (7th) NCAA Indoor Championships. MacDougall recently graduated with a 3.72 grade point average while earning an accounting degree along with a minor in finance.

McAneny enjoyed a standout junior campaign, including an All-American fifth-place finish in the 3,000 (8:17.12) at the NCAA Indoor Championships after crossing an All-American 25th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. He also placed 13th in the 1,500 at last week's NCAA Outdoor Championships. McAneny was voted the SUNYAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Runner of the Year as well as the SUNYAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year while sweeping SUNYAC Men's Cross Country and Men's Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. The English major enters his senior with a 3.94 grade point average.
