GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Camille Wutz and junior Erin MacDougall were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week, announced Monday. The duo was honored for their strong performances at the season-opening Geneseo Invitational on Saturday.
Wutz swept the long jump (5.58m/18' 3.75") and the triple jump (11.26m/36' 11.5") while finishing second in the 100 (12.32). Her Long jump is currently tied for ninth in Division III this season while her triple jump is the 21st-best mark. Her 100 time is also tied for 12th.
MacDougall set a school record in finishing second in the 200 (25.62) with a time that is currently tied for 19th in the nation. She also posted the nation's sixth-fastest time in the 100 hurdles (14.62) and added a leg to the winning 4x400 relay (4:18.35).
Geneseo returns to action this Saturday (Apr. 7) at the Hamilton Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
