Track & Field Opens Season At Brockport Invitational

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo opened the 2017-18 campaign with a small contingent of competitors at the Brockport Invitational, Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, junior Shayna Held finished second in the heptathlon with 3,192 points for the second-best performance in program history. 

Saturday's highlights included a first-place finish by senior Lauren Bamford in the 500 (1:21.86). 

A full slate of competitors will be in action on Friday (Dec. 8) at the Houghton Invitational, set to start at 4:00 p.m.
