GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior Camille Wutz was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Track & Field Women's Field Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Wutz set school records in winning the long jump and finishing second in the 60 at the Golden Eagle Invitational, Saturday, hosted by Brockport.
She bested the field in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 3 1/4 inches (5.78m) that currently ranks third in Division III. She also crossed the finish line with a runner-up 7.85 clocking in the 60 that is tied for the 20th-fastest mark in the nation.
Wutz and the Knights are set to return to Brockport later this week for the SUNYAC Championships on Friday and Saturday. Friday's action is set to start at 3:00 p.m. while Saturday competition is slated for a 10:00 a.m. start.
