Women's Tennis Falls to NYU, 9-0

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team traveled to the "Big Apple" to face New York University, but fell to the Violets, 9-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The Knights were swept in doubles play, despite a tough match from senior Rachel Ollis and junior Vanessa Lam-Tran at first doubles. The pair fell 8-4, while senior Lauren Salzano and junior Nina Lurie teamed at second and first-years Gretchen Ayoub and Dana Sorrentino battled at third. 

In singles play, Lurie won a team-high four games at fourth singles, falling 6-2, 6-2, as the Violets completed the sweep.

Geneseo will travel to Rochester to face the YellowJackets on Thursday, April 12.
