Women's Swimming & Diving Competes at Bomber Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior Annabelle Anich was a double winner at the Bomber Invitational on Saturday.

Anich placed first in the 100 butterfly (1:00.66) and the 100 breaststroke (1:09.51). Junior Sophia Farchione also had a strong showing, finishing first in the 100 backstroke (1:00.86) and second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.67). Sophomore Sakura Hamazaki earned a first-place finish in the 1650 freestyle (19:31.24), and first-year Linda Jaimes won the 200 butterfly (2:11.65).

Sophomore Rachel Wallisky placed second in the 200 freestyle (2:00.50), and first-year Meghan Reitz finished third in the same event (2:04.39). Alex Butler touched up in third in the 500 freestyle (5:28.24).

Geneseo will compete in the SUNYAC Championships beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Erie C.C. in Buffalo.
