GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo seniors Sydney Ng and Nancy Nasky won two events apiece as the 13th-ranked Knights defeated visiting 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve, 174.5-120.5 on Monday afternoon at Alumni Pool.
Nasky took first in the 1000 free (10:45.84) and the 500 free (5:12.35) while Ng won the 200 free (1:58.15) and the 200 back (2:08.55) to lead the Knights. Geneseo earned a first-place finish in the 400 medley relay as first-year Megan Palmer teamed with sophomores Noelle Staso, Celeste Pace and Deidra Osula to clock in a 4:03.50 performance. Osula earned first in the 50 free as well with a 24.19 finish while Staso won the 100 breast (1:09.89). Sophomore Lauren Siegel took first in the 100 back (1:00.93) and turned in the top finish in the 400 IM, touching up at 4:45.42. The Knights swept the diving events as sophomore Alyssa Vadala turned in a 304.57 score for first place in the one-meter while junior Samantha Reichman placed first in the three-meter with a 279.53.
The Knights recognized seniors Megan Mack, Nancy Nasky, Sydney Ng, Nancy Shemet and Sophia Thompson in a pre-meet ceremony. The Class of 2019 has led Geneseo to three-straight conference titles and a combined dual meet record of 55 wins and 10 losses in their four-year careers.
Geneseo improves to 6-0 in dual meets and will wrap up its dual meet season by hosting Rochester on Friday, Jan. 26
