FREDONIA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomores Noelle Staso and Deidra Osula each earned a pair of individual victories and led the Knights to a pair of relay wins as the squad finished first in every event to sweep a tri-meet with Grove City and host Fredonia Saturday afternoon.
Staso finished first in the 50 free (25.20) and the 200 breast (2:30.08) while leading Geneseo to a first-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:51.11) and the 200 free relay (1:38.35). Swimming in her hometown, Osula took first in the 100 free and 100 fly, while sophomore Celeste Pace touched first in the 100 breast and 200 IM. Senior Sydney Ng finished first in the 100 back and the 500 free as well. Rachel Wallisky took first in the 1000 free while first-year Megan Palmer touched first in the 200 fly, sophomore Lauren Siegel won the 200 back and senior Nancy Nasky grabbed first place in the 200 free. Junior diver Samantha Reichman swept the diving events while sophomores Alyssa Vadala and Kiersten Coates finished second and third, respectively, in both the one-meter and three-meter events.
The Knights (3-0) will take part in their home opener on Saturday, November 10 when they host Cortland.
