Nine Knights Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's and women's swimming & diving teams combined to place nine student-athletes on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams. Seniors Jeff Doser, Derek Secord, Natalie LaCourt and Emily Reiter, juniors Nancy Nasky and Sydney Ng, sophomore Matt Mattera and first-years Lauren Siegel and Noelle Staso were among the CSCAA record 1,069 student-athletes to earn the honor.

The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Doser, Nasky and Mattera each earned the award for the second-consecutive season.

Both the men's and women's swimming & diving teams received CSCAA All-America Team distinction earlier this summer, earning a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the spring 2018 semester. The Geneseo women won their 25th overall and 10th-consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship last February, while the men picked up their fifth in a row and 21st in the last 23 seasons.
