Women’s Swimming & Diving Swims Strong at Ithaca Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Kelly Lennon and sophomore Sophia Farchione each earned a pair of individual first-place finishes as the Knights competed in the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday.

Lennon finished first in the 50 free (24.70) and the 100 free (52.83), recording the fastest mark by a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) swimmer in the 100 free this season.

Farchione earned a first-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.47 and in the 100 back, touching up at 1:02.02. She also swam the anchor leg in Geneseo's first-place 400 free relay that clocked in at 3:46.68.

Sophomore diver Samantha Reichman broke a SUNYAC and Geneseo record with a six-dive score of 317.40 on the three-meter dive and recorded a six-dive mark of 275.20 on the one-meter board.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the SUNYAC Championships at Erie Community College.
