BUFFALO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Natalie LaCourt earned three event wins, including a first-place finish in the 200 free, as the Knights rolled to victory in the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Erie Community College.
LaCourt clocked a 2:00.06 to finish first in the 200 free, edging teammates first-year Rachel Wallisky and senior Kaitlin Doherty as the team swept the event. She also swam a leg of Geneseo's first-place 200 medley relay (1:51.00) and the Knights' first-place 200 free relay (1:38.17). Sophomore Samantha Reichman took first in both diving events, scoring 465.30 in the one-meter and 482.03 in the three-meter to edge teammates senior Emily Reiter and first-year Alyssa Vadala.
Geneseo finished in first in 10 out of the 14 events to grab the team title with 824 points. Buffalo State College finished in second with 447 points, followed by Monroe Community College (343), Roberts Wesleyan (274) and Nazareth (135).
The Knights will send several student-athletes to the Bomber Invitational, hosted by Ithaca College on Saturday, Feb. 10, and gear up for the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, beginning on Wednedsay, Feb. 21.
