GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore Nancy Nasky was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Swimming & Diving Swimmer of the Year, announced Thursday. It is the second-straight season she has been tabbed the top swimmer in the conference.
Nasky finished an Honorable-Mention All-American ninth in the 1,650 freestyle at the NCAA Division III Championships, establishing SUNYAC and program records with a 17:04.51 clocking.
Nasky also brought home four titles from the SUNYAC Championships to be named the Swimmer of the Meet. Individually, she swept the 1,650 (17:10.95), 500 (5:02.99) and the 200 (1:55.12) freestyle events while adding a leg to the victorious 800 free relay (7:47.96).
Nasky helped lead the Knights to their 10th-consecutive SUNYAC team title, marking the 25th overall time Geneseo has been crowned conference champion.
