BUFFALO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore Nancy Nasky earned three first-place finishes in the 200 free, 500 free and the 1,650 free and swam a leg on the first-place 800 free relay team to lead the Knights to their 10th-consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship.

The crown marks Geneseo's 25th SUNYAC Championship in program history, including 10 in a row and 14 under head coach Paul Dotterweich. The Knights earned eight first-place finishes and scored a total of 929 points, outscoring second place New Paltz by more than 300 points on their way to the title. Dotterweich was named both men's and women's SUNYAC Coach of the Year, the 10th time he has earned Men's Coach of the Year and sixth time to garner the honor as the women's head coach. Assistant Coach Shawn Austin was named Women's Diving Coach of the Meet as well.

Nasky (17:10.95) led four Geneseo swimmers in a sweep of the 1,650 free for her third individual first-place finish of the weekend. She was named the Women's Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet as well. Junior Alida Mooney (17:53.72), senior Sophie deFreitas (17:57.34) and first-year Alexandra Butler (18:19.55) finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

Seniors Alayna Mlodozeniec, Nicole Fico and Louisa Seelbach and junior Kaitlin Doherty earned a first-place finish with a time of 3:32.84 in the final event of the championships. For Fico, Doherty and Seelbach it marked their second relay win of the weekend.

Sophomore Sydney Ng (2:06.86) earned a first place finish in the 200 back, edging teammate senior Emily Smith (2:08.28) for the top of the podium.

Doherty finished as Geneseo's top swimmer in the 100 free, taking second at 53.18. Mlodozeniec (53.28), Seelbach (53.47) and Fico (53.95) all finished within a second of the junior, taking third, fourth and sixth, respectively.

In the 200 breast first-year Julia Caldwell took fourth with a time of 2:30.08 while fellow first-year Annabelle Anich earned fifth at 2:31.52. Sophomore Nancy Shemet claimed fourth place in the 200 fly, clocking in at 2:12.16.

First-year Samantha Reichman was Geneseo's top finisher in the one-meter dive, taking third with a total score of 457.10. Senior Claudia Kolakowski earned fourth (455.70) while first-year Emily Reiter grabbed 10th (397.40). All three divers surpassed the NCAA-B standard. Senior Courtney Gibbons took 15th place (302.35) passing the NCAA-A standard.

Qualifiers for the NCAA Championships, held in Shenandoah, Texas beginning Mar. 15, will be announced later in the week. Stay tuned to GeneseoKnights.com for details.
