Women's Swimming & Diving Goes For 10th Straight SUNYAC Title

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo Women's Swimming & Diving Team will begin its journey toward a 10th-consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference title on Thursday at Erie Community College.

The Knights earned 10 event wins in last year's meet, outscoring second-place New Paltz by nearly 300 points. Senior Louisa Seelbach and junior Kaitlin Doherty were each members of three first-place relay teams. Senior Nicole Fico joins the pair as three of the four returning members of last year's champion 400-free relay. Senior Emily Smith was featured on two gold medal relays and earned a first-place finish in the 100 back.

Sophomore Nancy Nasky returns to defend her 500 free conference crown. She will be joined by sophomore Sydney Ng, junior Alida Mooney, and Doherty to defend the 800-free relay title as well.

A live webcast of the meet will be provided. The women's events will begin on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. with the 500 freestyle preliminaries.
