McFadden, Marafioti Named SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Players Of The Week

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior goalie Tess McFadden and first-yer attacker Hannah Marafioti were named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively, announced Monday.

The duo was honored after leading the Knights to a 10-8 upset of No. 9 Ithaca on Saturday as well as a 15-9 win over RIT last Wednesday as the squad improved to 6-0 this spring.

McFadden compiled a career-high 13 saves to go along with four ground balls in the win over Ithaca and six saves in the RIT victory. 

Marafioti compiled a career-high six points on five goals and an assist in the win over Ithaca. Her fifth goal of the game proved to be the game winner. She also had three goals in the win over RIT.

Geneseo travels to St. Lawrence on Tuesday (March 27) for a 4:00 p.m. start before hosting Oneonta on Saturday (March 31) at 1:00 p.m. in its SUNYAC opener.
