Women's Basketball Moves into D3hoops.com Top 25

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team was voted into the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, released Monday evening. After several weeks of receiving votes, the Knights were tagged at No. 25 coming off of a three-win week. 

No. 25 Geneseo (13-1, 8-0 SUNYAC) is carrying a 12-game winning streak, including recent victories over Buffalo State, 72-52 (Jan. 12), and Fredonia, 69-57 (Jan. 13). The Knights' only loss this season came in mid-November when they fell at Messiah, 63-51. The Hawks are currently ranked one spot ahead of the Knights at No. 24 in the D3hoops.com poll.

Junior forward McKenna Brooks leads the team with 13.1 points per game while the Knights have had eight players score in double-figures at least once this season. Brooks also leads the team in rebounds (7.1), steals (3.3) and blocks (1.0) per game, while first-year guard Lindsay Halpin leads the team with 3.2 assists per game.

Geneseo returns to action on Friday with a 5:30 p.m. tip at Plattsburgh.
