Men's Cross Country Wins Cardinal Early Season Invitational

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore Eddie O'Brien-Curcie finished first out of 47 runners to lead the Knights to a first-place finish at the Cardinal Early Season Invitational, hosted by St. John Fisher, Friday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • O'Brien-Curcie covered the 6,000-meter course in a time of 20:16.5, besting the field by nearly 18 seconds.
  • Three more Knights swept 2-4. Junior Stephen Loce was second with a 20:34.8 clocking, followed by first-year Noah Sorensen (20:36.1) in third and first-year John Lyons (20:36.5) in fourth
  • Geneseo placed seven runners in the top-nine for a winning score of 17 points to out-distance runner-up St. John Fisher (67).
