Knights Compete at Day One of All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championship

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Kristen Homeyer earned a first-place finish in the 5000m to lead the Knights on the first day of the Inaugural All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championship on Wednesday at Brockport. 

  • Homeyer took first place in the event by nearly 25 seconds, crossing the finish line in 17:26.34.
  • Senior Matt Jorgensen took second in the men's 5000m, finishing in 15:06.71.
  • The women's 4x400 relay took second place as senior Lauren Bamford teamed with juniors Erin MacDougall and Shayna Held and first-year Kayla Barber to finish in 3:52.52.

The meet will resume on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
