Men's Track & Field Runs At Ithaca, Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass./ITHACA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team sent competitors to the Tufts Early Season Invitational and the Ithaca Winter Invitational, Saturday.

  • At Tufts, senior Alfredo Mazzuca finished fourth in the 5,000, posting the eighth-fastest time (14:45.03) in program history. Senior Alexander Burks placed sixth (14:56.33)
  • At Ithaca, senior Jimmy Martin won the 1,000 (2:32.82) with the seventh-fastest time in program history, followed by junior John Ripa in second (2:33.86) and junior Luke Holtzman in third (2:33.91). 
  • Ripa and Holtzman also joined sophomore Samuel Napoli and junior Zachery Hannahoe to win the distance medley relay (10:18.78). 
  • Geneseo will run next Friday-Saturday, Feb. 9-10 at the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
