Pair Of Program Records Highlight Men's Track & Field Performance

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior sprinter Connor Christian and junior distance runner Isaac Garcia-Cassani each set program records as the SUNY Geneseo Men's Track and Field team competed against NCAA Division I, II, and III opponents in the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday.

Christian competed in the 400, running for a personal record and program record time of 49.37. The mark bests Christian's previous PR by more than a second. He finished 41st overall in the event. 

Garcia-Cassani continued his outstanding winter with a program record time in the mile. The junior finished in 4:05.39 to set a new Geneseo record and finish 15th overall in the event. 

The Knights will continue to prepare for SUNYAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 18 when they take part in the Brockport Invitational.
