MEDFORD, Mass. - Individuals from the SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team were in action, Saturday, at the Cupid Invitational, hosted by Tufts.
Junior Isaac Garcia-Cassani finished first in the mile, leading three Knights in the top-seven. Garcia-Cassani crossed the finish line with a time of 4:10.04, nearly eight seconds better than the rest of the field, with the third-fastest time in Division III this season. Senior John Ripa placed third (4:19.64) while sophomore Lorenzo Mazzuca ended up seventh (4:23.31).
Senior Travis Briggs finished runner-up in the 3,000 (8:39.18), while senior Alex Kramer (14:56.58) and senior Alfredo Mazzuca (15:04.38) finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 5,000. Kramer's time ranks 15th in the country this season, while Mazzuca's was 22nd.
