Men's Track & Field Competes At SUNYAC Outdoor Championships

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team finished third at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Oneonta.

Senior Matthew Herbert finished first in the 10,000-meter run with a winning time of 31:35.66, leading a group of five Knights that crossed the finish line in the top-eight.

Other highlights included a runner-up finish by sophomore Isaac Garcia-Cassani in the 1,500 (3:56.49) as well as a third-place showing in the 5,000 (14:59.53).

Geneseo's 1,600-meter relay, comprised of junior Connor Christian, first-year James Laguerre II, sophomore Dylan Switzer and senior Ben Wach (3:19.05), placed second. 

Laguerre also logged a third-place showing in the 400 (48.93) while first-year Gillan Faulkner placed third in the 800 (1:55.02).
