Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats Cortland, 190-99, in First Home Meet of the Season

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year James Wun earned individual victories in the 100 and 200 breaststroke as the Knights rolled to a 199-90 victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe Cortland on Saturday at Alumni Pool. 

Wun finished the 100 Breast in 1:01.04 while touching up in the 200 Breast in 2:16.28. Junior Mitchell Phelps earned wins the 500 Free (5:00.70) and the 200 Free (1:47.62) and teamed with junior Kaz Sampson, sophomore Will Eng and first-year Kyle Barry to take first in the 400 medley relay with a 3:33.34 finishing time. First-year diver Corey Wirth continued his impressive debut season with a sweep of the diving events, scoring 285.85 in the one-meter and 257.85 in the three-meter. 

The Knights improve to 3-1 in dual meets this season and will host Nazareth on Saturday, November 17 at 1:00 p.m.
