GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo men's and women's swimming & diving head coach Paul Dotterweich garnered the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service, announced Thursday.
Dotterweich was named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Coach of the Year for men's and women's swimming, as the Knights won conference crowns in both sports. For the men, it marked their fifth-straight SUNYAC crown and 17th under Dotterweich while the women won their 15th title under Dotterweich, their 11th in a row.
Geneseo sent 12 student-athletes to the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. in March. The Knights combined for four All-American performances, while senior diver Samuel Randall earned a national championship in the one-meter dive.
