GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior swimmer Jeff Doser was named to the College Sports Information Directors' Association (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, announced Thursday afternoon.
A five-time SUNYAC Champion as well as an NCAA Division III Championships participant this season, Doser broke the program record in the 200 freestyle (1:39.33) while also adding legs to the 200 free (1:22.32) and the 400 free (3:04.23) relays that established SUNYAC records during the season.
Carrying a 3.90 grade point average as a biology and mathematics dual-major, Doser was named a Goldwater Scholarship recipient and a Phi Beta Kappa inductee last month. He also was named a SUNY Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award winner and the SUNYAC Men's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Doser moves on to the national ballot where he will be considered for Academic All-America status. Geneseo has had five individuals combine for eight CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in the history of the award. Earlier this year, men's soccer senior Brad Campion was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American for the second-straight year.
