ITHACA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior Kevin Schaub won an individual event and swam on two winning relays while junior Jeff Doser added legs to four victorious relays and junior Samuel Randall swept both diving events to lead the Knights to first place out of eight teams at the three-day Ithaca Bombers Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday.
The Knights totaled 1,685 points to finish ahead of the host Bombers (1,010), Hartwick (939), Le Moyne (862) and Nazareth (734) to round out the top-five team scorers.
Schaub bested the field in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:52.85. He also joined Doser on the winning 200 medley relay (1:34.24) and 400 medley relay (3:28.91).
Doser, who's weekend included a runner-up finish in the 200 free (1:42.13), also led off the victorious 800 free relay (7:03.73) while anchoring the winning 400 free relay (3:08.23).
Randall led a Geneseo sweep of the top-three places on both boards. He won 3-meter with a score of 551.70 and 1-meter with a 532.70, while senior Anthony Burgois and Ben Spaid finished second and third, respectively, in each event.
Junior Derek Secord was an individual event winner, besting the field in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.11.
Geneseo is off until the New Year when they will return to action on Jan. 14 with a tri-meet at Carnegie Mellon with Westminster.
