Men's Soccer Shuts Out Nazareth, 1-0

PITTSFORD, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year back Caleb Murthy notched what proved to be the game-winning tally in the 57th minute as the KNightes defeated host Nazareth, 1-0, Tuesday afternoon.

Murthy cashed in an assist by junior Josh McIntosh for his second goal of the season as Geneseo (5-3-1) improved to 4-1-1 in its previous six outings. 

First-year goalie Dillon Medd was credited with three saves to preserve his fourth shutout of the season.

The Knights will host their first two State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) matches of the season this Friday and Saturday, taking on Oneonta (3:00 p.m.) and New Paltz (1:00 p.m.), respectively.
