GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year defenseman Jack Crowley and senior midfielder Joe Chiara were named to the 2016 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Team, announced Wednesday.
Crowley was voted a second-team selection in his first year with the Knights. He finished second for the Knights with 31 ground balls as well as 15 caused turnovers while establishing himself as one of the top young on-ball defenders in the league.
Chiara landed his second all-conference nod after also garnering honorable-mention recognition in 2014. He tied for second for Geneseo with 30 points, including 17 goals that tied for the team's third-best total. Chiara logged two goals and three assists in the victory at Wells (Mar. 22) and had two goals and two assists at Brockport (Apr. 13). He netted a hat-trick in the Knights' one-goal setback opposite Morrisville (Mar. 5).
Geneseo finished the season witha 5-8 record, including three one-goal losses, and a 1-5 mark in the SUNYAC.
