Men's Basketball Takes Down Centre (Ky.), 94-66

CLEVELAND, Ohio - SUNY Geneseo senior guard John Decker scored 21 points while senior guard Justin Ringen added 18 points and five assists to lead the Knights to a 94-66 victory over Centre (Ky.) in the first round of the Bill Sudeck Holiday Tournament, Thursday, hosted by Case Western Reserve. 

Geneseo (7-3) started the game on a 7-0 run and built a 14-4 lead at the 15:07 mark on a Ringen jumper before Centre (4-5) pulled back within six, 24-18, with 8:04 on the clock.

The Knights took control with a 20-6 run to finish the half, including eight unanswered points to close the period, to build a 44-24 edge. 

Geneseo continued to pull away in the second half, connecting on 7-of-13 three pointers while shooting 63-percent from the field to lead by as many as 40 points down the stretch.

Junior guard Kevin Crockett compiled 15 points while senior guard Jack Eisenberg and sophomore forward Jack Manke each tallied 10 points for the Knights, which advance to take on Bethany (W. Va.) in Friday's tournament championship game at 4:00 p.m. Bethany defeated Case Western, 86-82 in the day's other matchup.
