Second-Half Push Leads Men's Basketball Past New Paltz, 95-74

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior guard John Decker scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Knights to a 95-74 victory over visiting New Paltz in both teams' State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) opener, Friday.

Leading, 39-38, at halftime, Geneseo (4-1, 1-0 SUNYAC) opened the second half with a 14-3 spurt to build a 53-41 edge at the 15:29 mark. 

The lead would grow to as many as 25 down the stretch as the Knights clinched their first conference victory of the seson. 

Senior guard Justin Ringen added 16 points for Geneseo, which will return to action on Saturday (Dec. 3) hosting SUNYAC-rival Oneonta at 2:00 p.m.
