SARATOGA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore midfielder Maria Dillingham scored a game-tying goal in the 14th minute, but five unanswered goals by No. 11 Skidmore proved to be the difference in a 6-2 setback for the Knights.

Trailing, 1-0, after a Skimore goal in the 13th minute, Dillingham collected a rebound in the penalty area and scored from close range to even the score just over a minute later.

The Thoroughbreds (2-1) scored a pair of goals in a seven-minute span to build a 3-1 halftime lead before opening the second half with two more to lead 6-1 with just over 20 minutes left in regulation.

Junior midfielder Diana Ruggiero lifted home a goal in the 59th minute but it was Skidmore holding Geneseo scoreless the rest of the way to earn the win.

Geneseo (0-4) returns home to take on Hamilton on Tuesday (Sept. 13) at 7:00 p.m.
