Corcoran, Held Sweep Women's Track & Field Weekly Awards, Wirth Wins Again

GENESEO, N.Y. - Three SUNY Geneseo student-athletes were named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Athlete of the Week, as women's track & field junior Genny Corcoran and senior Shayna Held swept their weekly honors while men's swimming & diving first-year Corey Wirth was named Diver of the Week again.

Corcoran set a meet record in winning the 5,000 at the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday, posting the fourth-best time (16:59.43) in Division III this season. It was also the top time in the SUNYAC and the Atlantic Region this winter as well as the third-fastest time in program history.

Held won the pentathlon at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational on Sunday with the fifth-highest mark (3,451) in Division III this winter. Her performances in the 60-hurdles and the long jump would have both ranked in the top-35 nationally (she already ranks in the top-10 in both events).

Wirth was a double-winner as the Knights took first in the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday. He posted a first-place score of 315.45 in the one-meter and followed that with a 328.95 to win the three-meter.
