GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior forward Conlan Keenan and senior goalkeeper Devin McDonald each received recognition from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), earning SUNYAC Player of the Week and SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week awards, respectively, after leading the Knights to a 3-0 week.
Keenan was tabbed SUNYAC Player of the Week for the second-straight time after he totaled three goals and three assists to help extend the team's winning streak to six. He started with a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 7-1 win over visiting Elmira before scoring two goals in Saturday's 4-1 win at Amherst. He then assisted what proved to be the game-winning goal in Sunday's 3-1 win at Williams. He currently leads the nation with 25 points, is tied for second with 10 goals and is second with 15 assists.
McDonald totaled 17 saves in Tuesday's 7-1 win over visiting Elmira, 17 saves in Saturday's 4-1 at Amherst and 24 saves in Sunday's 3-1 win at Williams. He currently ranks fifth in the nation with a 1.10 goals against average and 10th with a .944 save percentage.
Geneseo (9-1-1, 4-1-1 SUNYAC) travel to Cortland to face the Red Dragons on Friday, Nov. 30 before returning home to host Oswego on Dec. 1.
