Four Knights Named SUNYAC Athletes of the Week

GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior diver Samuel Randall, junior swimmer Sydney Ng, junior goalkeeper Devin McDonald and sophomore forward Andrew Romano received State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) weekly honors, announced by conference officials on Monday afternoon.

Randall earned a pair of wins in the one-meter and the three-meter dive in a dual meet at Cortland on Saturday. The senior took first in the one-meter with a score of 316.75 and posted a 304.45 in the three-meter.

Ng earned three wins at Cortland on Saturday, placing first in the 100 breast, the 500 free, and swimming a leg in the first place 200 medley relay. In the 100 breast, she touched the wall in 1:02.26, while posting a 5:20.85 in the 500 free. In the 200 medley relay, Ng teamed with first-years Noelle Staso, Olivia Hilt and Deidra Osula to post a 1:51.92 finish. Ng also competed as part of the second-place 400 free relay team, touching the wall in 3:48.08. The Knights defeated Cortland, 216-83.

Romano was named the Men's Ice Hockey Player of the week after leading the Knights to a pair of SUNYAC victories last week. Ranked first nationally in assists (12) and tied for first in scoring (12), he was credited with three assists in the Knights' 4-1 victory over No. 13 Plattsburgh on Saturday while also adding two assists in Friday's 5-2 win over Potsdam. 
 
McDonald was named the SUNYAC Goaltender of the Week after notching a 25-save effort in the win over Plattsburgh along with 22 saves in the win over Potsdam.
