GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo joins the NCAA and its Division III affiliates in celebrating NCAA Division III Week, April 3-9. Division III Week is a nationwide opportunity to observe and celebrate the profound impact of intercollegiate athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. It also serves as a chance to highlight the unique opportunities and experiences that make Division III student-athletes so special.
Each day during the week, a different aspect of the Division III student-athlete experience at Geneseo will be highlighted in conjunction with the NCAA's "#WhyD3" campaign.

MONDAY - UNIQUE ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES (VIDEO)
Softball senior captain Abby Dennett shares her unique academic experience, traveling to New Zealand as a part of the geology department to explore tectonic plates, volcanoes and more. She discusses how her academic opportunities as well as her athletic involvement have enhanced her college experience at Geneseo.
TUESDAY - UNIQUE ATHLETIC OFFERINGS (VIDEO)
Junior captain Tess LiVoti, sophomore Sydney Hollasch and first-year Catherine Fedor discuss what it's like to be a part of the Geneseo equestrian team. The pair of riders touch on the differences between their sport and other sports, and how being a student-athlete at Geneseo has added to their college experience.
WEDNESDAY - GETTING INVOLVED ON CAMPUS (VIDEO)
Men's track & field senior Alex Kramer was a SUNYAC Track & Field Champion during the indoor season, but his talents go deeper than just running. Also a member of the "Southside Boys" a capella group, he talks about what it's like balancing both athletics and other extra-curricular activities and how being a Division III student-athlete has helped him to succeed.
THURSDAY - REACHING THE PINNACLE (VIDEO)
Men's track & field junior Isaac Garcia-Cassani and women's track & field senior Alexa Wandy each won NCAA Division III National Championships this winter. They talk about the outstanding tradition of athletic excellence at Geneseo and what it means to reach the pinnacle of their sport.
FRIDAY - EMBRACING THE COMMUNITY (VIDEO)
The Geneseo women's lacrosse and field hockey teams have come together to "adopt" a new pair of team members this spring. Women's lacrosse junior Karen Boronczyk and field hockey junior Morgan Maley discuss the importance of giving back to the community and how it has added to their experience at Geneseo.
