GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo had three student-athletes earn State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Athlete of the Week awards as announced Tuesday by conference officials.
Claudia Kolakowski - Senior - Women's Swimming & Diving Female Diver of the Week
Kolakowski led SUNY Geneseo to a first-place finish at the Geneseo Invitational with a pair of event wins in the one-meter and three-meter dives. In the one-meter, Kolakowski recorded a score of 280.90 to take first. The senior scored a 291.45 mark in the three-meter dive to finish first in that event as well.
Gillan Faulkner - Sophomore - Men's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week
Faulker won the 800 meter run at the 19th-Annual Bucknell Bison Open on Saturday. Competing against a field of Division I, II and III runners, his time of 1:54.46 is currently tied for third in Division III and first in the SUNYAC.
Elise Ramirez - Sophomore - Women's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week
Ramirez won the 5,000-meter run against a field of Division I, II and III competition at the 19th-Annual Bucknell Bison Open, Saturday. She crossed the finish line with a time of 17:41.44 that ranks as the 13th-fastest time in Division III and first in the SUNYAC this year.
